For the wall treatment one should use frescoes. This will bring out the Italian culture a lot and it will be a unique touch to the room. Had paintings on the walls or ceilings should be done on the frescoes. This is typical in Italian houses. The paintings should be mostly related to some kind of story or important event that tells a story. But make sure it’s something that people can feel comfortable with. For the ceiling make sure that it’s elegant and simple. Not too much going on. If you do want to paint something on the ceilings then go with something soft. Maybe some clouds or something soft like that.
Some objects that could be use for the room could be colorful plates, Marino glass from Venice, painted tiles, something that falls naturally with the Tuscan style. Get some iron objects like candle holders, sconces. Also get earthy materials like stone, fabric, plaster and create something to the Italian style. Now for floors get glazed ceramic or marble inlay in intricate patterns. Also make it colorful and happy but make it also look natural, don’t go crazy with colors now! Wooden floor may work as well. Add some rugs that contrast with the colors on the floor. For fabrics get very earthy and natural looks and feels to them. Furniture get classic and folk pieces. Make it look rich visual texture.
